I was born and raised in Southeastern Colorado, moving to Lamar in 1964 with my family. I attended Lamar High school, graduating in 1970. I then attended Lamar Community College, and then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. I attended UNC for 2 semesters before returning to Lamar to work for the Colorado Department of Transportation engineering department during road construction south of Lamar. After my wife Silvia and I wed, we moved to Eads, Colorado to farm with her father until his death in 1985. I continued to farm until 1997.

I received my insurance license for Property and Casualty, and Life and Health the same year. I spend my time primarily in the life and health field. I have worked with Brase Insurance Agency since 1997 serving the individual and group health area and senior products.  Sylvia and I enjoy singing in community choirs, for weddings and funerals. We enjoy spending as much time as we can with our family.  I am a certified track and field official in Colorado and enjoy working track meets in the spring and summer. I have been fortunate to be asked to announce for 2 World Series and many regional and state baseball and college softball tournaments held in Lamar. I am active in the Unity Masonic Lodge in Eads and the Southeast Colorado Shrine Club. We have three children, 7 grandchildren and 5 granddogs. We are fortunate to have them living in Colorado.

I was born in Lamar, Colorado. I attended and graduated from Lamar High School, then commuted to Pueblo Community College and graduated in 2001 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences as a Certified Respiratory Therapist. I worked at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta from 1999 to 2002. I worked at the Prowers Medical Center in Lamar from 2002 until 2010. I left PMC to work for Brase Insurance Agency. I am a licensed agent for Property and Casualty and write both personal lines and commercial lines insurance.

I started early with my work experiences at the age of 9 with my sister, delivering the Lamar Daily News after school for four years. At sixteen, I started working at County Market as a cashier, moving to the Courtesy Booth where I was responsible for balancing the cashier’s cash drawers each evening. I then worked at Geddes Main Street Gifts as a sales associate until I started college. While attending high school, I raised pigs for my FFA/4-H projects then showed at the Prowers County Fair.

I reside in Lamar with my husband Eddy. We have four children, Vanessa, Swayzee, Anthony and Delorin, one dog Spartacus and cat, Puddy Cat. Vanessa is currently attending The University of Northern Colorado, and Swayzee attends Lamar Community College.  Anthony is currently a senior at Lamar High School. Delorin enjoys gymnastics, softball, and the swim team. Our family enjoys summer weekends boating on John Martin Reservoir, watching the kids ski, tube and knee board. We also enjoy watching the kids participate in their various sporting activities.

I volunteer with the Lamar Booster Club activities and oversee the Lamar Babe Ruth 18 and under softball league. I am also a set mother for Delorin’s elementary square dance set with the Denim and Lace Square Dancing organization.

Though I often saw myself living amongst sky scrapers and working in a big corporate fancy office, the plains of Southeastern Colorado have proved to be the best place to call home.  I was born and raised in Lamar and graduated from Lamar High School in 2005. I took various classes at Lamar Community College and attended Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO where I studied marketing and received an Associate’s of Science degree in Merchandising.

Despite my Mom telling me, “You have your entire life to work, enjoy it while you can!” I obtained my first job at Neoplan USA in the Human Resources department at the age of 16.  I continued working in various office settings and within retail. Most recently I was a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Safeway. I left Safeway in May of 2014 to start a career with Brase Insurance Agency and am enjoying every minute of it! I am licensed in Health and Life, and Property and Casualty Insurance.

I have two children, Ellyonna and Trevyn. Trevyn is in First Steps Pre-School and Elly is in Kindergarten. We seem to always be on the go! Between various sports and activities with the kids, church, and outdoor adventures, we stay pretty busy.
